These Gore-Tex gloves with solid leather palms and fingers have taken a significant beating and performed well. The left glove has seen less use, as I am right handed, and thus has little wear on it, whereas the right outer glove has seen the leather on the fingers wear through.
This is because I had to use my right hand as a brake on the fixed lines. The friction would have been too much for any glove but the BD stood up to a lot of friction. I should have used a quick prussic.
The inner Gore-Tex wool liner is still perfect.
The inner glover has been warm and dry all the way up to camp 2 (as far as I took them up on Broad Peak).
Super comfortable, dry, warm and easily separable inner and outer gloves. Good strong reinforcement where required. With the good insulation there is always a compromise with dexterity...yes it got annoying at times trying to use climbing carabiners etc. but better than having cold fingers. The high gauntlet was a godsend when you actually dropped your hands into the snow.
These Guide gloves have been fantastic and I would highly recommend them. They weren't cheap but if you use them for say skiing or snowboarding then they should last a lifetime. Top rated buy for these gloves.
