We got into Jaipur at midday. This gave me some time to do a couple of sites and see the city.
Sites visited were:
1) The City Palace.
2) Hawa Mahal.
Jaipur is a very busy city. It even jams up. The city is well planned and it is easy to navigate. The City Palace was nice but it appeared to have been over renovated. It felt too polished.
The Hawa Mahal was nothing much. You stand on the side of the street and take some pictures. It was packed with Indian tourists all posing. They love to pose for a pucture!
I was surprised there were not more restaurants in the main tourist area. So I had something from a local walled restaurant. All safe and tasty.
It was tough trying to get a tuk tuk at night, unless you wanted to be ripped off. An Indian kid actually advised that I use Uber...something that I had forgotten about.
I got into the swing of things by using motorcycle transport. It is by far the fastest way to get around the whole place. The helmets supplied are oversized and this useless.
I am happy I saw off these two sites. It means less hustle for tomorrow.
Feeling back to normal.
