2024 Oct-Turkey Tue 8. Istanbul day 3

Today I joined the tour group (we met last night).

First off was a visit to Sultanahmet Mosque (tourist also call it the Blue Mosque). It was not as impressive as the newer Buyuk Camlica Camii I saw yesterday.

We then went over to the Grand Bazaar. This was impressive when you first saw it, but the internal architecture and the stores were repetitive. Here, you could buy genuine fake Rolex and the like. Not for me but it could be for you.

Right next to the Grand Bazaar was the Nuruosmaniye Camii. If there is a mosque then I'll hit it.

The Spice Market was the last stop for the day (midday). I had seen this the day before. I was however keen to make my way over to Taksim Square. I never got there on the first night when I arrived, as I had not walked far enough down Istiklal Cadessi shopping street.

To finish the day early I went on a cheap cruise along the Bosphorus, only TRY150. It lasted for 1hr which was the perfect amount of time. Another solid day.
