This morning, I joined the tour group to revisit the daytime St Francis Church and the Chinese Fishing Nets (see it in 'action'). It was then a short tuk tuk over to the Mattancherry/Dutch Palace to check out the inside.
Nothing too special today. I headed over to Beach Road Beach. It was 33°C. The seaside around the area was inaccessible for most of the coastline due to the presence of military base and private residences behind a seawall.
When I eventually reached the beach, I noticed how small it was. I had a great chat with the local fishermen.
It was the best place to have a swim. I skipped the swim as I didn't want to walk back the few kilometres in salty, wet clothes.
Southern India is completely different from northern India. From a sightseeing perspective, the South does not have the amazing palaces nor forts. The South is about the religious temples and the environment (sea and jungle/bush).
