Spending Christmas in Jaisalmer.
The last effective day for sightseeing in Jaisalmer. I made sure to visit the inside of a Haveli and a palace/museum.
I did more walking around the areas surrounding the fort compound.
In the afternoon we drove to the Thar Desert. This desert is very different to the Sahara. The Thar Desert appears to have much more shrubbery whereas the Sahara has much more expanse of sand. The off-white/yellow sand is just as fine as the Sahara red sand. The Sahara feels much more imposing.
We spent Christmas around a campfire and doing secret Santa. It was a cold sleep in the open air of the desert. Sadly, one hippy wanna-be older Canadian lady was snoring like crazy. I was tempted to take my pillow and...
