7.5hrs of total transportation from Antalya to Cappadocia (hotel to hotel).
This place is small, and for us, it is more of a transit through to Cappadocia.
However, there are mosques to visit.
On yesterday's tour of Antalya there was a local couple from Konya. Apparently, one of the customs, as told by the day tour guide, before marriage is that the future wife makes a salty Turkish coffee for the groom to drink (the rest of the room receives normal Turkish coffee). The groom is suppose to ignore the saltiness of the Turkish coffee as a sign that everything the wife does is good. If the groom does not react to the saltiness then the family approves of the wedding. If he reacts then the wedding cannot proceed.
When the tour guide asked the husband to verify that his was true, the husband said yes, but, his wife put honey in his coffee (cheated) instead 😛, as she loved him.
I initially thought that it was the mother in-law that made the salty coffee as a sign that the groom could tolerate...my version would have been better 😆.
